Something about "lifestyle freedom" doesn't sit right anymore.
This isn't the kind of freedom I want.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about this word we throw around so easily: freedom.
Time freedom.
Location freedom.
Financial freedom.
And don’t get me wrong — I still care about all of that.
But I’ve realized something that feels important to say out loud:
A lot of what we call “freedom” is actually pretty fragile.
It depends on:
algorithms behaving
brands renewing contracts
showing up constantly
being visible even when you’re tired
staying relevant in systems you don’t control
That kind of freedom looks good on Instagram…
but it can feel exhausting in real life.
Especially when you zoom out and ask:
“What happens if I want to slow down?”
“What happens if I get sick?”
“What happens if I just don’t want to be ‘on’ for a while?”
Lately, I’ve been way more interested in a quieter kind of freedom.
The kind that doesn’t disappear if you don’t post.
The kind that isn’t tied to one platform, one deal, or one season of energy.
The kind that’s built, not performed.
I don’t have a big takeaway or a call to action here.
I just wanted to name the shift.
Because if you’ve been feeling a little restless…
or like you want more stability without giving up the life you’re building…
you’re not imagining it.
